A vibrant retro colour palette, fascinating imagery and creativity come alive on her canvas. Be it the humorous series of ‘diving into the garden’ or the thoughtful silence of ‘lost’, her work tends to speak up. Do take a glimpse of this artist’s mind, by viewing the work. One can make out the love for colour, as pinks, oranges and yellows are seen to be splashed around with the greens, blues and reds.

Techniques

While Bridget primarily uses the mediums of charcoal and acrylics, she can at times be seen working with a variety of techniques. For her, however, greater importance is accorded to the depiction of complexities, rather than the tools in themselves.

Charcoal art

Her work of charcoal on paper is a representation of thoughts, people, expressions and emotions. Depicting feelings of love, contentment, desire or despair, come naturally to her. While the medium of charcoal is well known, and used by many artists, its Bridget’s unique kind of depiction, that makes an impact on the viewer. Intricate detailing and a different viewpoint strike as unique aspects..

Acrylics and watercolours

These are two other mediums that Bridget loves to work with. Bright reds, greens, blues and pinks are seen to come together in these artworks. Here too, she can seamlessly depict things as complicated as situations, inner feelings, relationships and expressions. Using either art paper or canvas for her work, she usually builds up the paint with thin washes, a painstaking process, that she carefully undertakes for best results. .
